I have owned 2 m-4's, great choice of weapon celtic.
I have cycled through many firearms, from military issue m-16's to old m-1 carbines, and the two that I have never let go of are my AK and my SKS. My AK is a soviet model, wide open fully auto with a fine touch trigger set up; CANNOT be outshot for speed and power. My SKS is set up with a long range barrell military long range scope set up, I can hit almost what I can see. I know that this is not your typical sniper rifle, and it doesnt knock as well as my .50 cal, but would be great in a running battle; when they think they are out of range they really arent.
This is a little off subject, but talking all of this long range stuff reminds me of the first prize I was given after a gov sniper class, at ft. benning, that I was allowed to attend, it was a markmanship medal with an inscription, the words were later put on a shirt and sold; the inscription read: " If you run, you'll only DIE tired "

While we're on the sniper subject... I'm gonna put a scope on my Mosin Nagant, I figure sure it ain't as good as a .50 or .243. But I read somewhere that its pretty accurate out to 650m. Thats a longer range to be a pain in the @ss than with my M4 with scope.

Love the SKS.. I've had one for about 12 years now.. with a modified trigger.. I know her inside and out.. and can clean her with my eyes closed.. for long range I use a 300 mag. with a modified stock (thumb hole grip and modified recoil) you can only shoot her a few times before you can't feel your shoulder anymore.. I'm still looking for a military issue scope though...

I think it means he's jealous, as most of us would be.

I think it means he's jealous, as most of us would be. No need to be jealous. Now-a-days just about anyone can afford a .50 cal rifle. Check out the attached link: www.safetyharborfirearms.com/index.htmlThe great thing about this .50 cal. product is that it is not a serial numbered "firearm". You use your own AR-15 lower receiver (which is the firearm). You can buy it just like any other AR-15 upper receiver without filling out a stupid yellow Form 4473. Uncle Sam doesn't have to know that you have one. And, hey, it's made in the South so your are supporting a Southern Arms industry! God Save the South, CornFedReb
