Militia in the New Confederacy

Hey Lads,
I was wondering a couple of things. What part do you think the militia will have in a New Confederacy? If you are a militia member(or commander) what is your organization standereds i.e. How many men to a squad, staff jobs etc.? I do not want to know where you are, or anything classified, I'm thinking about getting one going up here, so organization notes would be of considerable interest.
