As all of you are aware, our Forefathers had strong religious beliefs. It was these beliefs that kept their families together and allowed them to persevere in the face of hostile environments, natives, and the unknown while carving out this country we all call home.
Our great Confederate leaders were men of virtue with strong beliefs in God and the teachings of the Bible. Men such as General Robert E. Lee and General Thomas "Stonewall" J. Jackson were devout men who placed their fates in the hands of Providence while leading our valiant ancestors into battle.
Though many are loathe to discuss religion (I for one generally avoid the topic save for my closest companions), how do each of you find religion helps you in everyday life?

Religion helps me in my everyday life by knowing that I always have someone fighting for me. When I have hard times I know that when I need someone to talk to Jesus is just a prayer away. I have had a pretty hard couple of months, lost my grandpa then my uncle a month and a half later, and some other things went on, but I survived it all by knowing that they were both in heaven watching over me... and by telling Jesus that I couldn't handle much more, then things started going my way again. I geuss it was his way of saying that he wasn't going to make me deal with anymore than he knew I could handle, so yea.

Everyone here who has a relationship with GOD and his son knows that it is difficult to live that life everyday.
But...knowing that you have them in your corner makes its day liveable.
I have sinned plenty in the past....and I am sure there is much more sin in my future; not by choice though.
The beauty of this entire process is that GOD knows that we are all human; we are all weak; we WILL sin, but he loves us anyway; he has given us the ultimate gift in eternal life.
I still feel tha same as I did in my previous posts; for the southern states to finally be free; for our ancestors honor to be restored; for our children to have a chance to grow up in a world where it is o.k. to be a christian, we must put GOD at the top of our priority lists.
